Chairperson: Carie Bronson
1. Prepares sanctuary thoughtfully and artfully for the liturgical seasons, using the visual arts as teaching tools for seasonal worship themes.
2. Provides training for new acolytes including the spiritual significance of this role.
3. Keeps altar area in good shape, always modeling a reverence for the altar, cross, baptismal font and pulpit as focal points of worship.
4. Keeps candles in working order, and orders candles when necessary.
5. Oversees the altar guild whose work includes preparing the bread and wine for communion (set up and clean up).
6. Washes, maintains and stores paraments, altar cloths, acolyte robes, etc. Educates others on the symbolic significance of these items.
7. Purchases or encourages and oversees the creation of new paraments and banners.
8. Teaches the significance of careful and reverent preparation for worship.
9. Prepares the font for baptisms.
