Worship Support Objective
In Our Savior’s weekly worship hour, God turns diverse people into a strong faith community. Those who serve in this ministry have the heart to assist in the worship experience for others.
Opportunities
Communion Assistant: Serve the wine or bread assisting the Pastor (must be a confirmed member).
WHEN: Your choice of worship service on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. or Sunday at 8:15 a.m. or 10:45 a.m.

Reader: From the lectern, read the Bible verses selected for the week

Usher: Hand out bulletins, assist with seating, direct congregants to the altar, set up and clean up cups for communion, collect offering.

Nursery Volunteer: Assist the nursery staff member with caring for children (must be a member of Our Savior’s for one year).

Worship Assistant: Lead the singing of the Liturgy and hymns.
WHEN: Your choice of worship service on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. or Sunday at 8:15 a.m. or 10:45 a.m.
WHERE: OSELC Sanctuary
Greeter: Welcome members and guests with a smile, greeting and handshake. Direct guests to coatroom and other areas within the church.
WHEN: 15 to 20 minutes prior to each service. Your choice of worship service on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. or Sunday at 8:15 a.m. or 10:45 a.m.
WHERE: OSELC, near front entry doors
Altar Flowers: Provide the flowers that decorate the altar. Bouquets are $15 for one arrangement or $25 for two arrangements.
WHEN: See the flower chart in the Narthex for available dates.
WHERE: Flowers are displayed through the end of the 10:45 a.m. worship service and may then be taken home or directed to a shut in.
Audio/Visual: Assist in the creation, programming or presentation of A/V support for the worship experience.

Drama Participant: Read, act or direct selected drama text. All ages encouraged.
WHEN: As needed for select services.

Saturday Night Host Family: Provide a warm, inviting atmosphere to all members and guests who attend this service. You will also assist with ushering, communion and additional hosting activities.
