How do they help?
Works with Youth Minister to:
1. Schedule, plan and promote monthly high school youth activities for outreach and exposure to the gospel. The third Sunday of each month during the school year is youth night. During the summer, every Wednesday night is youth night. Our time together is centered on the three Fs: Food, Fun and Fellowship! We incorporate scripture, service and fun into one great evening.
2. Promote regular service opportunities among youth. Each summer, the youth participate in a week-long mission trip through ASP (Appalachia Service Project). On Mothers Day Weekend, we have a box town retreat where we raise money for Habitat for Humanity by sleeping in cardboard boxes on the church grounds. We also participate in regular service projects sponsored by Outreach.
3. Organize and promote annual youth trips. Some trips are just for fun with a devotion while others emphasize group building and spiritual growth. The youth at Our Savior’s love to play in the name of Jesus! Every year we remember our baptism by spending a day at Noah's Ark in the Wisconsin Dells. We also remember the ups and downs of disciple ministry by spending a day at Six Flags Great America. These trips are just an example of the fun we have together.
