Interactive Prayer Walk

Welcome to our guided prayer walk this Good Friday.  We hope this digital experience will give you space to reflect on the events of Jesus’ crucifixion and in unique and meaningful way.

A couple of notes before you begin.

What You Need

This experience has been designed so you can participate wherever you find yourself.  You will however need a few things.  First, this experience is best followed by using your smart phone, although access through a computer will work as well.  Second, you will need a pair of headphones or ear buds, as there are a number of audio and video pieces which are best experienced as an individual.

Time

Take your time – there is no need to rush through the Journey.  Along the way you may find there are some steps you want to take time to process before taking the next step.  Although the full experience is designed to only take about 30 minutes, if your context allows we would encourage you to spread each of the eight steps (averaging under 4 minutes a piece, although some will be longer) between noon and 3 pm, traditionally the most sacred hours of Good Friday … the hours Jesus was on the Cross.

If this is not possible in your context, take the Good Friday Journey anytime this Holy Week.  We hope it can bless you, and prepare you to experience Easter anew this year.

Optional

Although we believe you will get the most out of this Journey if you participate in all of the experiences along the way, we want you to know you control what you do and don’t do.  If you feel uncomfortable participating in an activity, please feel free to simply watch or reflect and then take the next step.

Questions

Although this experience is individualized, know that you are not alone.  Members of your Church family and other followers of Christ are taking the same journey with you.  Feel free to reach out to each other and to your pastors, we are on this Good Friday Journey together.

Bring your questions, doubts, fears, and pain with you to the Good Friday Tenebrae Service at 7 pm, and know that we have a place for you here!
