Missing the meal that feeds your Heart & Soul?
You are not alone. This time of social distancing has required worship from home. While many of us are waiting to celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion until we are together again, we know that some of you would like to celebrate this at home with your family.
Our theology teaches us that the church is where the people are gathered, and that whatever table the bread is broken at is the Lord’s Table; whether that is the Altar Table in the Sanctuary of our church, or if it is your kitchen table. While it is best for us to celebrate this sacrament regularly in a large congregation of believers, during this special time it may be meaningful and special to you to celebrate communion at home with your family.
If you would like to use this resource to celebrate communion – please feel free. We know that some would prefer to wait until we are all gathered together again to have communion – so at the current time, we don’t plan to have communion during our livestream services. And yet, we welcome you to participate in this sacrament at home if you so choose. — Pastors Matthew & Jennifer
